Entanglement
The thought behind this piece was taken from the parable of the farmer sowing seeds, where the seeds represent the word of God (Luke 8:5). The word of God is received into our heart and we grow. This piece shows a strong stalk of wheat, however, its roots are not attached to, or in the ground. It is being supported and choked by weeds, only appearing alive but actually dead and dry. I received this as a warning, that we believers should be careful not to become entangled in busyness, but firmly rooted in our life with God.
