The Holocaust Menorah
This piece carries a lot of visual connection to the Jewish tragedy within the Holocaust. A menorah created out of a rail line. The rails go up twisting on each other forming the centre flame. This is to show the conflict of two distinct positions in the Holocaust, to hide the Jews or to hand them over. Those that were handed over to the Nazi’s are represented in the other six arms of the menorah. The six million that perished, the six main killing camps, all on transports going east.
