The Return of Favor
The Menorah is a replica of the Menorah from the Arch of Titus in Rome. This monument has a large relief depicting Jewish slaves being marched through the streets of Rome after the Roman destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in AD 70. It was the beginning of the Jewish diaspora, God’s disfavor. The Menorah is being carried by the Donkey back into Jerusalem, a reflection of Jesus’ own entrance. A return to the Land and a return to God’s favor.
