The Saving of the Thief

This is the story of how the Lord at the height of His own suffering could still reach out to a soul that recognized Him as Savior. His grace and His great love are shown in such a strong way in this. Also, the state of man before accepting or denying Him is shown through these two men, the thieves convicted on either side of the Lord. Both are close to the Lord, both broken physically but only one is broken enough spiritually in order to desire and recognize Jesus as s Lord. The figure is the thief who desired Jesus and is reaching out to Him.
